Operations and Accounting Support Specialist

• Serve as the subject-matter and platform expert for clients using Pennylane as their accounting and financial management software
• Act as a liaison between business owners, in-house accountants, and accounting firms
• Understand and investigate issues encountered by users
• Provide answers or solutions and escalate issues to technical teams when necessary
• Help in-house and accounting-firm accountants integrate their data into Pennylane to facilitate migration
• Continuously train on the product, the company, its vision, and its departments during the first three months
• Receive, qualify, and handle accounting-related requests
• Follow up on requests through the complete resolution of tickets
• Handle increasingly complex customer requests
• Create and update customer-facing help resources
• Share accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with colleagues
• Communicate well-structured customer feedback to product teams
• Identify areas for improvement and lead improvement projects

• Accounting education or qualification (BTS CGO, DCG, BTS Assistant Manager for SMEs, Master’s degree in Accounting, Control and Audit, or Bachelor’s degree in Administrative and Accounting Management)
• At least 3 years of experience in an accounting firm, ideally including at least three tax seasons
• Direct experience working with a business owner is a plus
• Interest in innovative work tools and new technologies
• Self-sufficient, with the ability to solve problems independently and find solutions
• Knowledge of Pennylane is a plus
• Professional proficiency in English
• Strong written communication and teaching skills
• Ability to understand and respond to customer needs, provide excellent service, and maintain strong relationships
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to rapid changes in the platform
• Willingness to learn and stay up to date with product developments
• Must have the right to work in France; Pennylane does not currently sponsor visas
