Software Engineer

• Build, maintain, and scale backend services and Kafka-based streaming pipelines processing user behavior data across AWS infrastructure
• Design microservices and APIs exposing user segments and behavioral models to classic UI and agentic downstream surfaces
• Turn behavioral signals into segments and models for the platform
• Use and evaluate AI coding assistants and agents, and help the team adopt effective tools
• Participate in architectural discussions and determine approaches for moderately scoped problems
• Build, deploy, rollback, and operate team software, including active on-call participation
• Automate manual operational processes with tooling to improve resilience and operability
• Provide constructive, service-level-aware feedback and participate in engineering communities of practice

• Fully proficient with Java, able to design, develop, test, and deploy small-to-medium features and bug fixes end-to-end with little or no assistance
• Experience building Kafka-based streaming pipelines and services in an AWS production environment
• Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, scaling, and asynchronous programming techniques such as streams, event-based flows, task queues, and message queues
• Active experience using AI coding assistants and agents in day-to-day engineering workflows
• Proficiency in English
