Back-End Engineer

• Design and build features with squad developers, a Product Designer and Product Manager toward shared OKRs
• Analyse product needs and propose technical designs documented in Architecture Decision Records
• Maintain code quality through design patterns, maintainable and testable code, and automated tests
• Manage observability, performance and security, and keep shipped features running in production
• Use AI tools and agentic workflows to design, write, test and review code
• Share work progress clearly and regularly
• Participate actively in team life by offering and requesting help
• Work with Lean and agile methods, including Scrum and Kanban, dailies, short iterations, demos and retrospectives
• Optionally contribute to the tech community through blog posts, meetups or conferences
• Participate in the recruitment process, including coding tests and live coding with AI tools

• Solid experience building products
• Master back-end development in PHP and at least one framework such as Symfony or Laravel
• Experience with a relational database and an ORM
• Knowledge of continuous integration principles
• Prioritize maintainable, testable code covered by automated tests
• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex, including agents, multi-step tasks, custom instructions and context; this is a must
• Clear explanation skills and willingness to mentor other developers
• Ability to work well in a team, listen and show empathy
• Ability to write and speak English
• Nice to have: comfortable with React and TypeScript
• Nice to have: detailed knowledge of running APIs in production, including alerting, monitoring and performance
• Nice to have: experience in a B2B SaaS company or software vendor
• Nice to have: participation in the tech community through content or conference/meetup speaking
