Transportation Operations Specialist – LTL, FTL, Ground Expedite

• Engage directly with vendors and carriers, including dispatchers, to initiate GPS-based tracking for FTL and LTL shipments
• Troubleshoot technical issues and initiate ELD and TMS connection requests
• Access customer TMS portals to post shipment updates
• Respond to customer and carrier inquiries via phone and email
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of cargo to key customers
• Verify shipment documentation, including bills of lading and supporting materials
• Oversee collection and delivery activities on behalf of key clients
• Schedule and trace shipments from pickup to delivery
• Maintain accurate domestic transportation records
• Coordinate and monitor Domestic Ground Expedite shipments
• Proactively communicate with carriers and dispatchers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
• Process transportation documentation in compliance with requirements
• Fulfill other responsibilities assigned by management

• 2–3 years of industry-related experience in logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding
• Hands-on experience with Domestic LTL, Truckload (FTL), and Ground Expedite required
• Strong customer service skills and professional, efficient communication abilities
• Working knowledge of freight forwarding procedures, regulations, and departments
• Proficiency in desktop and web applications, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with CargoWise, SAP, or Turvo is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple shipments with minimal supervision
• Experience with Domestic Air Freight is a plus
• Ability to work the night shift, 9 PM–6 AM PHT, Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday
