Head of Development, AI Agent Platform

• Overall technical responsibility for the AI Agent Platform, from architecture and implementation through stable cloud operations
• Technical leadership and architectural responsibility based on Microsoft Azure and C#/.NET
• Design, development, and continuous improvement of AI agents, multi-agent systems, and agentic workflows
• Build and further develop knowledge graphs, RAG components, vector databases, and knowledge systems
• Integrate foundation models, agent frameworks in the Microsoft ecosystem, and MCP servers
• Build and operate the complete CI/CD lifecycle, including Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, release management, monitoring, and observability
• Translate business requirements from product management and customer projects into high-quality product increments
• Ensure security, multi-tenancy, scalability, cost control, and operational stability
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and development for a small engineering team
• Manage external development partners
• Establish development standards, code reviews, documentation, and AI-assisted development practices
• Shape the product roadmap together with executive management, product management, and the consulting team
• Collaborate closely with executive management and product management

• At least 5 years of relevant professional software development experience
• Several years of experience developing AI-based systems
• Initial experience providing technical leadership to development teams
• Proven experience developing AI agents or agentic systems deployed in production
• Excellent programming skills in C# and .NET
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, architectural and design patterns, asynchronous programming, and testability
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Functions, Container Apps/AKS, Storage, Cosmos DB/SQL, Key Vault, and Entra ID
• Knowledge of Azure AI Foundry/Azure OpenAI and Semantic Kernel or comparable frameworks
• Deep understanding of the design, programming, orchestration, security, and evaluation of AI agents
• Experience with planning, tool use, memory, guardrails, evaluation, and cost management
• Experience with the complete CI/CD lifecycle of a cloud product
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform), automated testing, deployments, and monitoring
• Experience translating business requirements into product features
• Broad knowledge of graphs and knowledge graphs, agent architectures, skills/tools, RAG, and vector databases
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
• Preferred: Experience with MCP servers, tool calling, and multi-system agent orchestration
• Preferred: Knowledge of Python for prototyping and data pipelines
• Preferred: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architectures
• Preferred: Experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable solutions
• Preferred: Experience with ERP, CRM, PLM, document management, and collaboration systems
• A successfully completed degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, or a comparable field is preferred
