Installation & Maintenance Dispatcher – Fiber Project

• Plan and schedule daily work assignments for installation and maintenance crews
• Coordinate with clients, field technicians, and other departments to ensure timely task execution
• Allocate resources based on project priorities and technician availability
• Receive, review, and prioritize fiber drop installation and maintenance work orders
• Verify work-order documentation and details before dispatching technicians
• Serve as the primary contact between field teams and management
• Provide instructions and updates to field technicians
• Relay customer requests, feedback, and issues to relevant departments
• Monitor ongoing jobs, technician locations, and work status using GPS or tracking tools
• Track deadlines, update job statuses, and communicate delays or issues
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and urgent requests
• Coordinate emergency repairs and troubleshooting
• Maintain records of work orders, job completion, and technician activities
• Prepare daily operations, productivity, and issue reports for management
• Ensure technicians follow safety protocols and report safety concerns or incidents
• Coordinate tools and materials with inventory teams
• Track equipment and supplies used in fiber drop operations

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in scheduling, coordination, or dispatching
• Prior experience in the telecommunications or fiber installation/maintenance industry strongly preferred
• Proficiency in scheduling and work order management tools
• Working knowledge of fiber installation and maintenance processes
• Ability to monitor field operations using GPS or tracking systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination across teams
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Able to handle multiple priorities and adapt quickly to urgent requests
• Experience coordinating with field technicians and clients
• Strong emphasis on adherence to safety and compliance standards
• Flexibility to work extended hours when needed to support critical operations
