Python Developer

• Participate in paid, project-based software engineering engagements for a leading AI lab
• Debug and resolve issues across complex, multi-file codebases
• Implement backend or full-stack functionality
• Refactor and migrate existing systems
• Develop and extend unit and integration test suites
• Write technical specifications and reference implementations
• Review code and technical submissions for correctness and quality
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes
• Validate alignment among requirements, code, tests, and expected outputs
• Deliver production-quality code, technical solutions, documentation, testing, validation, and actionable code-review feedback

• 2–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
• Working knowledge of at least one additional language such as Java, C#, or Go
• Backend or full-stack experience with production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing
• Ability to navigate and debug large, multi-file codebases
• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations
• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills
