Data Engineer III

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting functional and non-functional business requirements
• Identify and implement internal process improvements, including automation, data delivery optimization, and scalable infrastructure redesign
• Build infrastructure for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources
• Build analytics tools providing actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and business performance metrics
• Collaborate with Executive, Product, Data, and Design stakeholders on data-related technical issues and infrastructure needs
• Create data tools that help team members build and optimize analytics production
• Collaborate with data and analytics experts to improve data-system functionality
• Perform other duties as required

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Proficiency in SAS, Python, Java, and MatLab
• ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load)
• Database knowledge: SQL and NoSQL
• Data warehousing knowledge: Hadoop, MapReduce, HIVE, Presto
• Follows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or data
• Ability to perform office-related tasks, including prolonged sitting or standing
• Ability to move from place to place within an office environment
• Ability to use a computer
• Ability to communicate effectively
