Senior Backend Developer – AI Agents

• Develop autonomous inbox agents that respond to new ticket events
• Develop agent templates for customers
• Design handoffs between agents and people while ensuring process compliance
• Develop harness engineering for more than 100 tools, including system prompts and skills
• Improve knowledge-base search and develop learning mechanisms for AI
• Develop LiveKit-based voice agents
• Select suitable LLMs for different tasks
• Reduce latency through caching and streaming
• Handle provider outages with robust retry mechanisms
• Keep context compact and optimize RAG search
• Track usage across all providers, reduce costs, and evaluate improvements
• Work on Hausverwalter.ai’s agentic all-in-one platform for property management companies

• Fluent in English and German
• More than 2 years of experience building agents for production use
• AI-native
• Have shipped agentic features that real users rely on
• Strong opinions on retrieval, evaluations, tool design, and the limitations of today’s frontier models
• Primarily a builder; able to quickly release a rough v1
• Stay up to date with new AI models and research
• Write almost all code with AI
• Comfortable working autonomously and taking full ownership
• Perform better under pressure
• Learn quickly and consider yourself a generalist
• Willing to work with the TypeScript, Convex, Next.js, React, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui stack, as well as the Vercel AI SDK and Convex Agent Component
