Intermediate Java Software Developer

• Develop, maintain and enhance Java-based applications
• Work with J2EE and Spring frameworks
• Develop and maintain enterprise integrations
• Build and support integration routes with Apache Camel
• Develop and maintain messaging integrations using RabbitMQ and/or ActiveMQ
• Write and optimise SQL queries
• Work within Linux environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues
• Participate in testing, code reviews and deployments
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders
• Ensure applications are stable, scalable and maintainable
• Support existing services while delivering enhancements without breaking downstream flows
• Document changes, configuration and handover notes for support continuity

• 5+ years of professional Java development experience
• Strong Java / J2EE experience used in production applications
• Strong Spring experience
• SQL experience, including writing and optimising queries
• Linux experience
• Experience with enterprise application development
• Experience with integration technologies
• Experience with RabbitMQ and/or ActiveMQ
• Apache Camel experience
• Good understanding of software development practices, including testing, code review and deployment
• Telecommunications experience is advantageous
• OSS/BSS experience is advantageous
• Experience in high-volume transactional environments is advantageous
• Production support experience is advantageous
• Experience with additional messaging or integration technologies is advantageous
• HTML/CSS experience is advantageous
• Exposure to monitoring, logging and alerting in production is advantageous
