Software Engineer

• Collaborate with engineering, product, operational SMEs, and wider stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions
• Architect, implement, and rigorously test high-quality .NET applications focused on performance, reliability, and scalability
• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with VFX engineering standards
• Proactively identify and remediate defects through detailed root-cause analysis
• Maintain and enhance existing applications across the .NET ecosystem
• Conduct peer code reviews
• Create comprehensive technical documentation
• Stay current with emerging .NET technologies and best practices
• Embed security principles into the codebase and address risks proactively
• Partner with QA teams on test planning and execution
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
• Build and maintain enterprise-grade backend systems for regulated financial environments
• Translate complex financial concepts such as payments, FX, reconciliation, and treasury workflows into engineering solutions

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in .NET development, delivering scalable, production-grade applications
• Strong proficiency in DDD, CQRS, and clean architecture with practical application in prior projects
• Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and integration layers
• Proficient in unit testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit) and mocking tools (NSubstitute, Moq)
• Strong SQL Server or relational database experience, including schema design and performance optimization
• Skilled in Git-based version control workflows, including branching strategies and code review processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in fast-paced, agile engineering environments
• Experience building and maintaining DevOps pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions
• Exposure to messaging technologies such as Azure Service Bus or gRPC
• Previous experience in the financial sector and familiarity with industry-specific constraints
• Practical use of tools like Jira within Agile delivery frameworks
