Territory Manager

• Expand adoption of Alcon’s Valeda treatment platform across Italy
• Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across retina clinics, ophthalmology groups, and strategic accounts
• Lead the complete customer engagement journey from prospecting and value-based selling through business case development, negotiation, contracting, installation, and activation
• Develop and execute account activation plans to accelerate clinic onboarding, reduce time to first treatment, increase patient flow, and drive ongoing treatment utilization
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Technical Service, and Commercial Operations teams
• Support local educational and demand-generation initiatives
• Use CRM tools, sales analytics, account performance data, and territory insights to manage pipeline health and forecast business performance
• Achieve device placement, treatment utilization, and revenue objectives
• Support customer engagement, business development, account activation, congress participation, and strategic growth initiatives across Northern or Southern Italy

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Marketing, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of successful experience in medical device sales, healthcare business development, or a similar commercial role
• Proven ability to prospect, build strategic customer relationships, develop value-based business cases, negotiate successfully, and close new business opportunities
• Strong experience engaging with physicians, clinic owners, practice managers, and other healthcare decision-makers
• Demonstrated ability to combine commercial selling skills with account activation, project management, and customer success initiatives
• Strong analytical and business acumen with experience using CRM systems, pipeline management tools, and sales performance metrics
• Fluent Italian and English language skills
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a cross-functional and entrepreneurial environment
• Experience in ophthalmology, retina, diagnostics, therapeutic devices, or specialty medical technology
• Experience launching innovative healthcare technologies or developing emerging markets
• Understanding of healthcare economics, ROI-based selling, and customer value discussions
• Experience supporting patient pathway optimization, practice development, and local demand-generation activities
• Ability to travel extensively across Italy, approximately 60–70% of working time
