Senior Software Engineer, AI Intelligence Platform

• Design, document, and drive architecture for key platform components
• Own complex initiatives from design and architecture through development, deployment, and iteration
• Translate ambiguous product goals into clear, scalable technical requirements
• Build a trusted, high-quality foundation unifying Aura's data
• Architect secure, privacy-preserving access for AI agents to sensitive data
• Build systems that turn intelligence into personalized insights and actions
• Make technology choices balancing scalability, cost, and operational simplicity
• Champion security, privacy, observability, testing, and operational excellence
• Mentor engineers on design challenges, performance tuning, and system reliability

• 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Track record of designing and shipping complex, large-scale distributed systems
• Experience owning systems end-to-end, from architecture through production operation
• Strong knowledge of software design best practices, data structures, algorithms, and distributed-systems fundamentals
• In-depth knowledge of cloud technology and selecting appropriate architectures and tools
• Experience with serverless functions, containerized services, relational and NoSQL databases, caches, queues, and data-processing pipelines
• Experience building systems handling sensitive or regulated data
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Ability and desire to learn new technologies and move quickly in a fast-evolving AI landscape
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience building AI/LLM-powered systems in production, such as agents, retrieval pipelines, evaluation, or LLM observability
• Background in security, privacy engineering, or trust & safety
• Experience with large-scale data platforms and data-intensive systems
• Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code
