Senior Android Software Engineer

• Own the Android IoT application end to end, including architecture, implementation, feature delivery, code quality, long-term maintainability, and device/OS-level behavior
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, and support teams
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects, crashes, and production issues
• Support release preparation, deployment, rollout, and post-release validation
• Improve code quality, maintainability, and test coverage
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions
• Address technical debt and operational feedback
• Contribute to operational targets for uptime, quality, stability, processing latency, release stability, security, and incident response
• Maintain technical documentation, technical decision records, runbooks, onboarding materials, engineering best practices, and secure SDLC practices
• Work on a mobile application for a global life-sciences and agriculture enterprise, built with Flutter/Dart and native C++/Swift/Kotlin implementations using GCP/Firebase
• Use Google Analytics to track user behavior within the application

• 5+ years’ experience in Android application development
• Kotlin experience
• Firebase experience
• Android operating system knowledge, including boot sequence, updates, MCU, and recovery, is a plus
• Experience in Android IoT fleet management, including FOTA roll-outs, monitoring, OS firmware validation, and APK rollouts
• Understanding of incident and problem management, including service restoration, root cause analysis, debugging, and diagnosis
• Experience with Git/GitLab
• Mobile development using Flutter

• Native experience with Flutter, Swift, or C++ is nice to have
• Experience with mobile applications for IoT devices, device pairing, diagnostics, and connectivity is nice to have
• Understanding of Android firmware/app rollout concepts, canary releases, rollback strategies, and device fleet operations is nice to have
• Familiarity with AWS-backed systems or serverless architectures is nice to have
• Experience with AI-augmented development practices is nice to have
