Broadcast Engineer, IT

• Ensure highly available, reliable production and broadcast operations
• Provide technical expertise and support for live productions
• Operate, administer, and optimize production, broadcast, and IT infrastructure
• Continuously develop systems and processes
• Plan, implement, and manage IP-based audio and video transmission paths
• Ensure seamless interaction between all audio, video, and IT systems
• Administer broadcast-specific systems such as encoders/decoders, playout servers, automation and newsroom systems, video routers, and intercom solutions
• Analyze, prioritize, and permanently resolve technical issues
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Standardize operational processes

• Completed degree or vocational training in media technology, broadcast engineering, information technology, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience operating, monitoring, and supporting broadcast and media systems
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies (LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, multicast)
• Practical experience with IP-based production and broadcast environments, particularly SMPTE ST 2110, AES67, and NMOS
• Experience working with Linux systems, virtualization platforms, and storage solutions
• Excellent technical understanding of audio/video formats, signal flows, and transmission protocols
• Analytical and structured approach to work, combined with strong problem-solving skills
• High level of commitment and willingness to work outside regular business hours, particularly during live productions and on-call shifts
