Systems Engineer

• Configure, maintain, and optimize the z/OS customer environment
• Maintain availability, reliability, and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including escalated incidents requiring deep technical analysis
• Support change management, including testing and implementing approved system changes
• Collaborate with other z/OS teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Document system configurations, procedures, and resolutions
• Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts

• Technical college degree and/or relevant work experience
• Knowledge of ISPF, JES2, JCL, REXX, SMP/E, PCOMM, Parallel Sysplex, Disaster Recovery, and product maintenance/upgrades
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving complex system/infrastructure issues
• Knowledge of system programming practices for the specific role
• Experience with incident, problem, change, and inventory management processes
• Demonstrated focus on delivering reliable outcomes for customer environments
• Experience with automation tools or scripting for system programming tasks (preferred)
• Familiarity with zCloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments (preferred)
• Experience in multi-vendor or enterprise-scale IT environments (preferred)
• Relevant technical certifications (preferred)
