Specialist Advisor, Beef Cattle Farming

• Advise beef cattle farmers on farm performance, feed self-sufficiency, production costs, and the profitability of their livestock operations
• Support the development of production systems and improvements in performance
• Design and support livestock building projects
• Submit planning applications and carry out environmental condition assessments
• Prepare applications for PCAE funding
• Collect and analyze technical and economic data as part of the INOSYS program
• Produce and promote technical benchmarks and reference materials for farmers, partners, and stakeholders across the sector
• Lead training sessions and organize or participate in technical events
• Contribute to the commercial development of services and manage client follow-up

• Higher education qualification in agriculture
• Proven experience in beef cattle farming and advising farmers
• Interest in livestock buildings, animal welfare, and working conditions
• Self-motivated, energetic, and proactive approach
• Enjoyment of teamwork
• Experience in livestock building design is an advantage
• Experience designing agricultural buildings and knowledge of the realities of livestock farms
• Category B driving licence required
