Engineering Manager

• Build and lead the trading engineering team from the ground up
• Hire, mentor, and grow engineers
• Set the technical strategy and architecture for the trading platform
• Own order lifecycle and execution, market data ingestion and distribution, positions and portfolio, settlement, and reconciliation
• Drive broker, exchange, and market data integrations and connectivity decisions
• Own reliability and correctness under market conditions, including latency budgets, capacity, idempotency, and reconciliation
• Partner with product, compliance, risk, and finance on regulatory, KYC, AML, and audit requirements
• Establish rigorous testing, controlled release, incident response, and audit-grade observability across the order path

• 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years leading engineering teams, including hiring and growing engineers
• Direct experience building or operating online stock trading, brokerage, or capital markets systems; shipped order management, execution, market data, or settlement systems in production
• Working fluency in order types and lifecycle, market data feeds, clearing and settlement, corporate actions, reconciliation, and audit expectations for regulated trading
• Strong hands-on technical judgment for architecture reviews and correctness/latency tradeoffs
• Comfortable in TypeScript, Go, Postgres, and AWS/local private cloud hybrid environments
• Experience working alongside compliance and risk in a regulated financial product
• Ability to move fast on a greenfield product without compromising correctness and controls
• Experience launching a retail trading or investing product from zero (nice to have)
• Exposure to FIX protocol or exchange and broker connectivity (nice to have)
• MENA or emerging-market financial services experience, including market entry and local regulatory context (nice to have)
