English to French Linguist, Copy Editor – Product, Marketing, UI Content

• Translate English content into German (de-DE and/or de-CH)
• Copy-edit translated content
• Perform machine translation post-editing (MTPE)
• Work across marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and light legal content
• Handle an expected volume of 5,000+ words per week
• Use a client-specific CAT tool
• Collaborate on high-visibility international projects
• Build a long-term partnership with Welo Global

• Native or near-native proficiency in German (de-DE and/or de-CH)
• Excellent command of English (en-US)
• 2+ years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree
• Demonstrated experience translating English to German (de-DE and/or de-CH) across informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content
• Experience using CAT tools
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to deliver high-quality translations while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced localization environment
• Strong communication skills, responsiveness, reliability, and openness to feedback and revisions
