Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Physician – Telemedicine

• Triage and clinically assess referrals from Primary Care, identifying patients’ needs and determining the most appropriate care pathway
• Conduct video telemedicine consultations to assess less severe and less complex clinical conditions in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine
• Assess the need for in-person specialist follow-up or referral to other healthcare services
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of clinical records, including consultations, diagnoses, and clinical guidance
• Perform clinical procedures applicable to telemedicine, including, where appropriate, electronic prescribing of medications, diagnostic tests, and other clinical documents
• Contribute to improving access to Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine care nationwide

• Specialist or resident physician in Specialist Training in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine — mandatory requirement
• Active registration with the Medical Association
• Clinical experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine
• Ability to clinically assess patients and make decisions regarding the need for follow-up or referral
• Comfortable using digital platforms
• Strong empathetic, clear, and personable communication skills
• Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and strong organisational skills
• Previous experience in telemedicine and digital health projects — a strong advantage
• Experience assessing and triaging clinical referrals — a strong advantage
• Knowledge of referral pathways between Primary Care and hospital services — a strong advantage
