Senior Data Engineer

• Develop modern, production-ready data platforms in the cloud
• Design scalable data architectures, reliable data pipelines, and consistent data integrations in agile client projects
• Plan, develop, and operate modern data platforms and data pipelines
• Develop reliable ETL and ELT processes
• Ensure consistent data flow between different systems
• Use Python, SQL, Spark or PySpark, and Databricks
• Automate cloud infrastructure and deployments using Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineers and Cloud Architects to ensure data quality, security, and stable operations
• Contribute your expertise to technical decisions
• Support less experienced colleagues in their professional development
• Learn about new technologies and expand your knowledge based on the client project

• At least five years of professional experience in data engineering
• Ideally, experience in consulting or software development projects
• Excellent knowledge of Python and SQL
• Practical experience with PySpark and Databricks
• Solid practical experience with a major cloud platform, ideally AWS; alternatively, Azure or Google Cloud
• Experience with ETL processes
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
• Good understanding of modern data architectures, data quality, and the stable operation of production systems
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts
• Structured, results-oriented approach with a strong commitment to quality

• Excellent written and spoken German and English
