Utility Operator

• Safely and proficiently operate equipment
• Operate a front-end loader to feed the Metal Recovery Plant
• Load slag/scrap customer trucks
• Operate heavy haul/dump trucks around the job site
• Perform secondary duties assigned based on business needs and management discretion
• Operate equipment throughout all areas of a busy steel mill
• Reassign to other large off-road mobile equipment when needed
• Perform manual labor duties such as cleanup and shoveling when equipment is not required

• At least 6 months of experience operating heavy equipment
• Must be alert and drug free at all times
• Ability to climb in and out of equipment involving several steps and ladders
• May be required to shift gears manually
• Ability to work 12-hour daytime and nighttime shifts
• Ability to work in a steel mill environment around large mobile equipment
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces with loose materials
• Ability to operate equipment and perform manual labor duties, including cleanup and shoveling
