Senior Software Development Engineer – Test

• Lead automated test strategies, framework architecture, and quality assurance for software platform maintenance and hypervisor upgrades across ARM and x86 compute infrastructure
• Research, propose, and integrate open-source test frameworks
• Build continuous validation suites for backend services, APIs, and orchestration tools
• Design scalable, high-performance automated test frameworks and harnesses for hypervisor upgrades, REST APIs, UI, and system CLI tools
• Design, scale, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, automated regression, and performance testing
• Automate functional, integration, performance, and resilience testing for virtual machine lifecycle operations and fleet-wide maintenance tasks
• Design SQL schema queries and state-tracking tests in relational databases
• Ensure data integrity, hardware monitoring, and automated fallback processes
• Collaborate with developers, SRE, and datacenter operations teams to assess architectures, improve test systems, and remove quality bottlenecks

• Expertise in software development, quality engineering, or backend automation
• Formal education in Computer Science or related fields
• Expertise in Python
• Experience with Go
• Linux/Bash scripting for backend automation, system tools, and test suites
• Expertise using Pytest, unittest, or nosetests
• Experience designing modular, maintainable API, CLI, and end-to-end integration test harnesses
• CI/CD and DevOps integration experience
• Jenkins or GitHub Actions experience
• Advanced Git workflows expertise
• Extensive practical expertise with Linux-based operating systems
• Expertise in relational databases, SQL schema queries, state tracking, and analytical techniques for data evaluation
