Technology Field Application Engineer – Embedded, Connectivity

• Serve as the technical liaison between customers, partner companies, and the internal sales organization
• Work closely with customer engineering departments, the local Field Sales team, and internal and external Arrow resources
• Build and develop strong relationships with customer engineering departments at all levels, from CTOs to R&D Engineers
• Identify new development projects and support them from the initial product concept through start of production
• Guide the technical direction and priorities of customer projects based on Arrow’s strategy, supplier portfolio, and market conditions
• Develop optimal technical and commercial system solutions
• Grow business potential through targeted project work with strategic customers
• Provide on-site technical consulting and support to customers in the design and selection of system components, particularly semiconductors for industrial embedded and HMI systems, including software components
• Provide technical support and advice to the field sales team
• Prepare and deliver training sessions and technical meetings with customers and suppliers, as well as internal training for the local Field Sales team when required

• University degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, or a comparable qualification with at least five years of professional experience
• Experience serving as a technical point of contact
• Experience in electronics, hardware, or firmware development is an advantage
• Experience selecting and using microprocessors, processors, and FPGAs for industrial electronics is desirable
• Strong negotiation, communication, and influencing skills
• Understanding of customers’ system architectures
• Excellent team player with a high degree of self-motivation
• Strong sales and customer focus, with an eye for business potential and innovation
• Experience using AI-based systems to improve efficiency in solution development and data analysis
• Experience in robotics, TinyML, Zephyr OS, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and cybersecurity is desirable
• Strong curiosity and enthusiasm for new technologies and their practical application
• Hands-on mentality and a passion for developing demonstrators comprising embedded hardware and software
• Willingness to travel within Germany
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
