Network Engineer II

• Install, configure and maintain network hosts and services including routers, switches, firewalls and VPN endpoints
• Perform network maintenance and upgrades, including occasional evening or weekend work
• Troubleshoot network issues and outages
• Participate in global production and corporate network infrastructure, including edge, backbone, datacenter, POP and CDN infrastructure
• Handle multiple vendor switches on servers for hardware and software issues
• Handle traffic and queries raised by ISPs and partners
• Provide support for incidents such as input errors, CRC and RMA
• Work directly with ISPs and vendors to resolve network issues
• Apply company policies and procedures to resolve issues of moderate scope
• Perform other duties as required

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Full understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, Active Directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines and software applications
• Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies
• Understanding of server hardware technologies relative to content delivery performance and capacity
• Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships
• Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Ability to perform office-related tasks, including prolonged sitting or standing
• Ability to move from place to place within an office environment
• Ability to use a computer
• Ability to communicate effectively
