Software Engineer II

• Design, develop, and maintain software systems, applications, or services
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following engineering best practices
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes
• Troubleshoot and debug software, identify root causes, and implement solutions
• Support platform performance, monitoring, and operational health through logging, alerting, and diagnostics
• Engage in Agile practices including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Provide technical input into project planning, estimation, and risk assessment
• Perform other duties required to support business needs

• Thorough knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in the relevant discipline
• 3+ years in a related role or experience
• Experience in software development using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
• Experience using coding agents such as GitHub Copilot
• Familiarity with application architecture, APIs, data modeling, and design patterns
• Knowledge of source control tools such as Git and CI/CD processes
• Understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and maintainability
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
• Candidates must currently reside in Hungary
• Preferred: experience across full-stack environments
• Preferred: familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices architecture, or containerization tools
• Preferred: exposure to system integration, monitoring practices, and operational support
• Preferred: experience mentoring others or contributing to technical decision-making
• University degree preferred
