Global Fishing Watch

Global Fishing Watch is an organization dedicated to enhancing transparency in the world's oceans through advanced technological solutions. By utilizing satellite imagery, vessel GPS data, and machine learning, they provide detailed analyses of human activity at sea. The organization aims to facilitate the sustainable use of marine resources and protect ocean ecosystems. Their tools, like the Marine Manager and Vessel Viewer, offer real-time data on ocean conditions and help manage and monitor marine protected areas. Partnerships with scientific institutions foster the creation of open-source datasets, contributing to global ocean policy and conservation efforts.
