Sheltering Arms Early Education and Family Centers

Sheltering Arms Early Education and Family Centers is one of Georgia's largest nonprofit organizations dedicated to early childhood education. Founded in 1888, the organization serves historically excluded and disenfranchised communities by providing high-quality, equitable early childhood education and comprehensive family services. Sheltering Arms operates 13 centers in the metro Atlanta area, nurturing up to 3,500 children and their families each year. Its mission is to close opportunity gaps caused by systemic racism and support families through a two-generation approach that addresses both children and parents. The organization is recognized for its leadership in early education and its impact on children's long-term success.
