Deputy Principal – High Standards Teaching

• Lead a strategic portfolio focused on high standards teaching
• Run coaching cycles, live-session observations and online learning walkthroughs
• Embed the school's theory of learning and assessment-for-learning practice schoolwide
• Oversee the professional growth cycle and teaching as inquiry
• Lead PCT induction, the mentor programme and release time
• Own the PLD plan, staff meeting PLD calendar and teacher-only days
• Manage Teaching Council certification endorsements and practicum liaison
• Manage PLD delivery and external bookings with the Operations Manager
• Report to the Board on the portfolio
• Line-manage portfolio leaders
• Contribute to staff PLD and share the duty roster
• Include a teaching component

• Highly effective teacher with a full practising certificate
• Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues
• Formal coaching training ideally
• Knowledge of learning science and assessment for learning
• Ability to make research practical
• Ability to organise a full-year PLD programme and its budget
• Ability to provide honest, supportive feedback that changes practice
• Passion for the school's vision and innovation
• Willingness to work in an online setting
