Junior Legal Counsel, AI – GDPR
About the role
• Run day-to-day GDPR operations
• Draft and negotiate DPAs and Standard Contractual Clauses with international vendors and clients
• Conduct vendor privacy reviews
• Keep records of processing and privacy notices current across an international footprint
• Help maintain regulatory EU AI Act readiness
• Handle data subject requests
• Support the Operations Team in helping clients understand the legal framework of the business
• Track GDPR, the EU AI Act, EDPB guidance, case law, and national specifics
• Collaborate with Legal Counsel and specialised WorkMotion departments
• A law degree (or equivalent legal qualification)
• 1–2 years of hands-on data protection experience in-house, in a law firm, or in a consultancy
• Working knowledge of the GDPR in practice
• Genuine interest in AI regulation
• Strong legal research skills
• Structured, pragmatic, and self-organised way of working
• Comfortable owning topics independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
• Business-fluent English
