Government Licensed Guides – German, French Speaking

About the role

• Lead small groups of 2–12 travelers on 2–3 week tours through Nepal
• Provide clear information about destinations and share knowledge of Nepalese culture
• Create joyful, memorable travel experiences and bridge linguistic and cultural gaps
• Plan and prepare daily itineraries, ensuring smooth tour operations and adapting with contingency plans
• Participate in training sessions and pre-tour briefings
• Assist travelers with questions and provide excellent customer service
• Prioritize traveler safety and ensure partners meet quality, safety, and sustainability standards
• Respond effectively to emergencies while following established procedures

• Currently living in Nepal or having lived there for at least one year
• Advanced German (C1) or French (C1) for client communication
• Good local language skills to support tour operations
• All necessary permissions to work as a tour conductor and/or guide
• First Aid Certification, CPR and Heimlich maneuver
• Passion for and deep understanding of Nepal's culture, people, history, traditions, daily life, and current events
• Organized, reliable, motivated, and solution-oriented under pressure
• Cooperative and communicative, with a positive and professional demeanor
• Strong English communication skills are an advantage
• Additional local language skills are an advantage
• Prior tourism or guide experience is an advantage
