YOUR NEXT CHAPTER
Enterprise AI Architect
About the role
• Define the technical shape of the entire AI capability, including standards, shared components, and evaluation and release strategy
• Work with senior business stakeholders and domain experts to establish objectives, constraints, and expected outcomes
• Identify processes suitable for automation and select and justify tools, platforms, and approaches
• Shape and present solution proposals covering scope, approach, effort, and expected impact
• Own outcomes including adoption, measurable time saved, and reliability for real users
• Design, build, test, and maintain reusable AI skills, supporting scripts, validation logic, reference data, and shared components
• Write and review production-quality code through review, CI, and release
• Build the evaluation layer with golden cases, acceptance criteria, and regression checks
• Debug agent behaviour and fix root causes
• Integrate with client platforms and data sources
• Run pilots with real consultants, gather structured feedback, and ship improvements
• Set and enforce standards for authoring, reviewing, versioning, and releasing AI skills
• Track developments in AI tooling and introduce relevant capabilities into the engagement
• Provide technical leadership, review, direction, and unblocking to two engineers
• Participate in presales activities
• Proven architectural ownership of real systems, including module boundaries, reuse, versioning, integration, and non-functional constraints
• Hands-on experience building, reviewing, testing, and maintaining production-quality solutions
• Strong engineering foundation in at least one modern stack
• TypeScript / Node.js (NestJS, Angular) fluency is advantageous but not required; Python, Java, or .NET backgrounds are accepted with modern AI tooling fluency
• Professional practice with version control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD
• Hands-on experience with modern AI tools and platforms
• Experience shipping real LLM-backed systems to real users
• Working command of agentic patterns, including tool use/function calling, MCP, prompt engineering, context engineering, structured instruction design, and orchestration
• Experience evaluating and improving non-deterministic systems using test sets, measurable acceptance criteria, and results-driven iteration
• Ability to make and justify platform-level decisions, including agent harnesses, integration architecture, and build-versus-adopt
• Judgement regarding data handling, security, and compliance for sensitive HR and compensation data
• Credibility with clients' CTOs, enterprise architects, and senior business leadership
• Ability to explain technical approaches and trade-offs to non-technical audiences
• Presales capability, including solution shaping, scoping, estimating, and presenting to decision-makers
• Ability to turn ambiguous business requirements and tacit domain knowledge into clear designs and executable workflows
• Comfort operating without a specification and asking questions to close gaps
• English at C1 level
• Sustained working-hours overlap with the client in the US / Western Europe
• B2B contract with Bonapolia
• Monthly invoicing and payment on the same schedule the client pays Bonapolia (usually 30 days)
• Contract written under the candidate's country's law
• Bonapolia handles client-side paperwork: MSA, NDA, and invoicing
