Workday Integration Engineer – Studio, EIB

• Design, develop, and deploy complex integrations using Workday Studio, custom transformations, and multi-step assembly components
• Build data pipelines using EIBs, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect for Benefits, and Cloud Connect for Third-Party Payroll
• Write custom data transformation mappings with XSLT, XPath, MVEL, and Java
• Expose and consume programmatic endpoints using Workday Web Services, REST APIs, SOAP, and custom RaaS templates
• Configure PGP encryption, digital certificate authentication, and secure SFTP file delivery routing
• Diagnose and optimize integration performance bottlenecks, including processing timeouts, high-volume document parsing, and web service throttling
• Lead regression validation for semi-annual platform releases across developer sandboxes

• 4 to 8 years of core middleware or enterprise integration engineering experience
• 4+ years of dedicated experience developing, debugging, and maintaining Workday integrations
• 4+ dedicated years writing custom technical data transformations inside the Workday ecosystem
• Strong technical mastery of Workday Studio development tools
• Advanced XSLT processing
• XML/JSON parsing experience
• Knowledge of calculated fields
• Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous web service calls
• Understanding of API governance limits
• Understanding of object relationship mapping conventions
• Mandatory Workday Certified Integration Utilities or Workday Certified Integration Studio certification
• Preferred: experience managing large-scale system migration data loading tracks using advanced loading utilities or custom API loading loops
• Preferred: familiarity with MuleSoft, Boomi, or AWS event-driven frameworks interacting with Workday endpoints
