Senior Software Engineer III, Email & Communications Platform

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across the email and communications platform
• Work on large-scale email delivery systems, including sending infrastructure, queue management, throttling, bounce handling, and deliverability optimization
• Build and improve APIs, background services, and data pipelines in .NET
• Develop and maintain cloud-native services in Microsoft Azure
• Drive modernization by refactoring legacy code, migrating to modern patterns, and improving observability and testability
• Collaborate with product and stakeholders to translate business requirements into well-architected solutions
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and incident response
• Balance feature development with improvements to reliability, maintainability, and developer experience
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence

• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Full-stack development experience, owning features from backend to frontend
• Strong experience with C# / .NET for APIs, services, and backend systems
• Hands-on production experience with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Functions, Service Bus, SQL, and Storage
• Experience with high-volume email systems and email deliverability concepts, including SPF/DKIM/DMARC, IP warming, bounce management, feedback loops, and deliverability monitoring
• Strong SQL Server experience, including performant queries, schema design, and relational databases
• Exposure to PostgreSQL is a plus
• Legacy modernization experience in mature codebases
• Knowledge of distributed systems, API design, testing practices, and CI/CD
• React / Next.js experience building modern frontend applications
• Digital marketing domain knowledge, including campaign management, lead generation, marketing automation, or dealer/automotive marketing
• Experience with message queue architectures and event-driven systems
• Familiarity with email service providers such as SendGrid, Mailgun, or SparkPost
• Experience working in a multi-tenant SaaS environment
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish
• Ability to work effectively in a mixed mode (onsite, remote or hybrid) environment, including consistent use of video conferencing, collaboration tools, proactive communication, and professional on-camera presence
