• Define verifiable specification standards, including preconditions, postconditions, invariants, and Given/When/Then
• Maintain the context used by agents, including AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, skills, and constraints
• Break down complex problems into units that agents can execute and humans can verify
• Coordinate multiple agents, isolated worktrees, and handoffs

• Establish strategies for testing, evals, mutation testing, and benchmarking
• Guide code reviews based on intent and risk
• Ensure rigorous CI, branch protection, CODEOWNERS, small batches, and easy rollback
• Design agents with their own identities, least-privilege access, sandboxing, and defense in depth
• Evolve the shared engineering harness, including instructions, tools, hooks, and skills
• Define agent autonomy levels in production, progressive authorization, dry runs, and immediate shutdown procedures
• Treat each agent as a service, with SLOs, observability, and contingency plans
• Apply AI to playbooks, anomaly detection, root-cause analysis (RCA), postmortem drafts, and incident handoffs
• Actively mentor junior and mid-level engineers and maintain foundational learning paths
• Translate AI limitations, risks, and benefits for leadership and business teams, supporting technical decisions with data

• Strong software engineering experience, serving as a technical authority (Staff, Principal, or Tech Lead) on high-scale production systems
