Senior Accountant – Team Leader

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards
• Ensure all work complies with Australian tax laws and regulations
• Stay current with updates in tax legislation and accounting standards
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve service quality
• Oversee and manage the team's workflow
• Review BAS, financial reports, and income tax returns prepared by intermediate and senior accountants and bookkeepers
• Ensure every job meets standards, budgets, and deadlines
• Improve quality control and consistency across compliance work
• Guide and develop junior team members

• 6+ years' experience in Australian public practice, focused on tax and financial statement preparation
• In-depth knowledge of Australian tax legislation and financial reporting standards
• Confidence using Xero, including Xero Tax
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
• A keen eye for detail and great organisational skills
• Clear, polished written and verbal communication
• Proven experience leading and mentoring others
• A strong sense of professionalism and integrity
