• Estonian language expertise
• Strong knowledge of Estonian grammar, syntax, morphology, spelling, phonology, and pragmatics
• Ability to analyze verb conjugation, case inflection, vowel harmony, sentence structure, formal and informal registers, regional dialects, and the Estonian writing system
• Clear, metacognitive communication—“showing your work”
• A master’s or PhD in Estonian language, linguistics, or a closely related field is ideal
