Senior Android Engineer

• Design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin/Java and modern Android frameworks
• Collaborate with product managers and backend developers to define, design, and integrate robust APIs
• Own features end-to-end, from technical design and development through testing and release
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in performance, security, and maintainability
• Explore new Android technologies and contribute to architecture improvements
• Build and maintain mobile applications, including Edison Mail

• 7+ years of working experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Android development experience
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
• Solid computer science fundamentals
• In-depth understanding of Android fundamentals, including Jetpack components, multithreading, networking, memory management, and data storage
• Familiarity with MVC, MVVM, or VIPER architectural patterns
• Performance optimization, crash analysis, and power usage tuning
• Experience with Volley, Glide, Lottie, and Firebase, including FCM
• Experience with Google Play submission and review process is nice to have
• Exposure to email protocols such as SMTP and IMAP is nice to have
• Familiarity with Linux environments or backend services is nice to have
• Experience with hybrid development using React Native is nice to have
