Tour Leader – Insider, Tokyo or Kansai

• Lead small group tours around Japan with exceptional customer service
• Deliver full-day, half-day, and evening Insider Days for clients on tailor-made holidays
• Prepare thoroughly for tours
• Look after clients’ health and safety through briefings and on-the-ground hazard and incident management
• Manage clients’ dietary requirements
• Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and partners
• Provide cultural talks, explanations, insights, and personal experiences in creative and engaging ways
• Balance tour activities with led time and free time
• Potentially work with VIP clients and on privately escorted holidays after demonstrating confidence and skill

• Strong Japanese ability
• Understanding of Japanese cultural nuances
• Ability to work closely with suppliers and mediate between suppliers and clients
• Naturally charismatic and engaging; enjoys widening networks and sharing knowledge and insights
• Highly presentable, friendly, approachable, calm under pressure, and professional
• Comfortable taking responsibility and making difficult decisions in challenging environments
• Exceptionally well organised with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong research ability and thorough preparation skills
• Proactive approach to wellbeing and resilience
• Based in Tokyo or the Kansai region, Japan
