Database Product Architect – IT Technical Lead

• Lead the architectural design and evolution of Jabil's database platforms, including relational, NoSQL, and data warehousing technologies
• Define and enforce database standards, best practices, and governance policies across the organization
• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools to meet evolving business needs and optimize performance
• Collaborate with development teams, system administrators, and other architects to integrate database solutions into Jabil's IT ecosystem
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization of database environments
• Develop and maintain documentation for database architecture, design, and operational procedures
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to database administrators and developers on complex database issues
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in database architecture, design, and administration, with a strong focus on large-scale enterprise environments
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar database technologies
• Proven experience with cloud-based database services such as AWS RDS and Azure SQL Database
• Experience with cloud native database architectures
• Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and database normalization/denormalization techniques
• Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and monitoring tools
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and business intelligence platforms
• Knowledge of Python or PowerShell for database automation
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
• Fluent English level is a must
