MVNO Networks Manager
About the role
• Establish and manage host mobile network operator partnerships enabling Airalo to operate local networks
• Own each new market from initial operator conversations through commercial negotiation, regulatory approval, technical integration and commercial launch
• Remain the commercial owner of launched markets
• Build market business cases with Finance and present them to leadership and host operator executives
• Negotiate MVNO, wholesale and reseller contracts
• Support Legal with regulatory approvals, entity and licensing, numbering allocation and number portability
• Work with Delivery on mobile number portability, lawful interception and emergency calling obligations
• Coordinate technical integration of host networks with Airalo’s OSS and BSS platform alongside product, engineering and core network teams
• Prepare and run new-market rollouts through launch readiness and first commercial traffic
• Hand over launched markets to NOC and operations teams
• Run service management reviews covering network quality, SLA compliance and incident performance
• Escalate network quality and availability issues
• Define reconciliation processes between operator invoices and Airalo usage records
• Analyze traffic, revenue and costs by market and report performance against the business case
• Renegotiate commercial terms as volumes and market conditions change
• Develop and maintain a repeatable market-entry playbook and unified commercial conditions and agreements
• 5 years minimum relevant experience in the mobile telco industry, in a commercial, wholesale or business development role
• Personally negotiated and closed at least two wholesale or MVNO agreements with host mobile network operators
• Proven ability to build market business cases, including subscriber lifecycle assumptions, traffic forecasting, wholesale cost modelling, margin and payback
• Proven ability to present and defend business cases to leadership teams and host operator executives
• Experience owning commercial performance against forecast after launch, including contract renegotiation as volumes grow
• Working knowledge of full MVNO and light MVNO architectures, including core, HSS/HLR, IMSI ranges, numbering and interconnect
• Good overview of telecommunications network technologies, including Mobile Core, OSS & BSS, and eSIM provisioning
• Understanding of 2G, 3G/UMTS, 4G/LTE, 5G NSA and 5G SA
• Ability to lead technical scoping and service management discussions with host operators
• Understanding of mobile-service regulatory requirements, including numbering, portability, emergency calling and lawful interception
• Familiarity with KYC processes for mobile subscriptions
• Experience in a fast-moving startup, scale-up or challenger MVNO environment
• Ability to run several markets at different stages in parallel
• Excellent, business-fluent English in writing, speaking and reading
• Willingness to travel internationally occasionally
• Additional MVNO, MVNA or MVNE experience is ideal
• Master Studies and/or MBA highly preferred
• Additional languages alongside English are good to have
