Account Sales Representative

About the role

• Drive new merchant acquisition, grow revenue, and expand market share
• Develop profitable new business account relationships
• Increase profitability from existing accounts
• Identify business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products, and services
• Make sales presentations to existing and prospective clients
• Explain the benefits of the organisation’s products and services to meet client needs
• Implement and maintain an effective referral network and call program to promote sales
• Manage ongoing account relationships with existing customers
• Establish and maintain internal relationships
• Establish and maintain public relationships with the community to enhance the organisation’s image and develop new business
• Identify and manage risks in compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and company policy
• Work collaboratively across a multinational organisation
• Maintain ethical standards and comply with U.S. Bank’s Code of Ethics

• 2 years B2B sales experience essential
• Experience in a business-to-business direct sales role primarily focused on new business acquisition
• Track record creating a sales pipeline, identifying customer solutions, and closing sales in the SMB market
• Experience selling solutions such as ecommerce solutions and SaaS in addition to core acquiring
• Direct experience following a competency-based framework model to develop sales practices
• Proven ability to develop and maintain an effective network of contacts and build relationships at all levels of Elavon, partners, and external stakeholders
• Commercial and financial acumen, including awareness of issues involved in negotiating contracts
• Influential and highly effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication
• Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues across a multinational organisation
• Willingness to accept change and maintain effectiveness in a changing environment
• Ability to understand the bigger picture
• Specialist knowledge of the payments market is desirable
• Financial services experience is beneficial
• Documented confirmation of performance
• Compliance with the CBI Fitness and Probity Regime and Conduct Standards applicable to the role
• Must provide requested information and documentation relating to qualifications, experience, employment history, financial soundness, and other interests for due diligence
