Senior Tax Analyst

• Prepare and manage sales, use, occupancy, tourism, and other indirect tax compliance activities for an assigned hotel portfolio
• Coordinate with Deloitte and other service providers on tax returns, payments, workpapers, and reconciliations
• Maintain tax rate and taxability matrices
• Oversee implementation, testing, and validation of tax configuration changes within PMS and POS systems
• Support tax registrations, annual reports, business licenses, and state and local compliance requirements
• Research tax law, taxability, and rate changes and assess impacts on hotel operations and compliance processes
• Assist with sales, use, occupancy, and tourism tax audits, notices, and information requests from taxing authorities
• Support process improvements, hotel acquisitions and transitions, and special projects

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field
• 2-4 years of indirect tax compliance experience
• Experience preparing tax workpapers, analyzing financial data, reconciling accounts, and supporting tax filing deadlines
• Working knowledge of accounting and general ledger processes
• Good Excel skills
• Strong written communication
• Experience supporting multi-state sales, use, occupancy, lodging, or similar indirect tax compliance
• Experience supporting tax audits, notice resolution, and interactions with taxing authorities
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large data sets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Hospitality, lodging, restaurant, franchise, or other multi-location industry experience is nice to have
• Experience working with third-party tax compliance providers is nice to have
• Knowledge of PMS/POS systems and hotel revenue taxability concepts is nice to have
• Experience with Oracle OPERA, Yardi, Vertex, Avalara, or similar tax technology solutions is nice to have
