Python, Cloud-Native Software Engineer

• Take on a central technical role within an agile development team at Deutsche Telekom
• Develop sophisticated software solutions
• Ensure the technical quality of implementation
• Support the team as a subject-matter expert
• Actively shape the software architecture
• Provide technical leadership to the team
• Establish best practices
• Conduct code reviews and make architectural decisions
• Provide mentoring to promote sustainable, high-quality software development
• Work closely with Product Owners, architects, and other development teams
• Design, develop, operate, and continuously enhance digital connectivity solutions
• Collect, process, and manage technical data, network resources, and infrastructure
• Create key reports, such as NISV quality assurance reports
• Support operational communications and billing
• Orchestrate technical resources to ensure the correct provisioning of products and services
• Take responsibility for asset and technical room management, as well as the maintenance of physical networks, equipment, cabling, and logical service relationships

• Resident in Switzerland, preferably in the Bern area
• At least 8 years of professional software development experience
• Several years of experience as a Senior Developer, Technical Lead, or Lead Engineer
• Excellent knowledge of Python and modern Python frameworks, particularly FastAPI
• Experience with FastStream and event-driven architectures
• Very strong experience developing and operating microservices
• Solid experience with Apache Kafka
• Several years of experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Very strong knowledge of API management and the design and development of REST APIs
• Experience designing and evaluating software architectures
• Proven experience conducting code reviews and establishing development standards
• Experience with Clean Architecture, Clean Code, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and test automation
• Very strong Git skills and experience with modern CI/CD processes
• Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
• Excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and a strong quality mindset
• Very good German and good English skills
• Experience in the telecommunications sector, particularly OSS/BSS, network management, provisioning, or service orchestration
• Knowledge of TM Forum Open APIs, Open Digital Architecture (ODA), or comparable industry standards
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and DevSecOps
• Knowledge of observability tools and practices, such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Ansible
