Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

• Manage WWF's Azure infrastructure across production and staging environments
• Provision subscriptions and resources
• Build and deploy Windows, SQL, Red Hat, and firewall virtual machines
• Configure Microsoft Entra tenants and Azure Enterprise Apps SSO
• Manage RBAC and user groups
• Proactively patch systems and automate operations using PowerShell and Graph API
• Design backup strategies and disaster recovery playbooks
• Troubleshoot networking across VNETs, sites, and tenants
• Manage firewalls, load balancers, Azure and Cloudflare DNS
• Serve as the escalation expert for Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 issues
• Lead projects end-to-end and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Perform occasional after-hours or weekend work for critical outages or planned maintenance
• Support WWF-US and country offices across South America, Central America, Africa, and Asia

• Degree in IT or related field
• Minimum 8 years of work experience, including at least 6 years in IT
• Verbal and written fluency in English and Spanish
• Experience managing large-scale enterprise IT systems
• Extensive hands-on experience managing highly available and resilient Azure production systems
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture, cloud networking, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Windows and Linux servers
• Proficiency managing Windows domains and Active Directory
• Proficiency using PowerShell and Graph API for Azure management, workflow automation, and deployment orchestration
• Familiarity provisioning and managing access for Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Foundry
• Experience integrating Microsoft Copilot for M365, Copilot Studio, and Copilot Agents into enterprise Azure/M365 environments, including data-access governance
• Significant expertise building, deploying, and managing Azure virtual machines
• Experience diagnosing complex cloud or hybrid system issues and developing scalable solutions
• Technical troubleshooting methodologies
• Enterprise-scale expertise in infrastructure, Azure architecture, identity and access management with Entra ID, and AI-driven automation technologies
• Skills configuring Microsoft Entra tenants and domains, including DNS and VNET setup

• Must be currently based and authorized to work in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Suriname, or Guyana
