Mid-Level Systems Engineer, Telecom

• Support and enhance Telecom and mobile connectivity services (M2M/IoT)
• Monitor the availability and performance of services and POS terminals
• Investigate and resolve connectivity, network, and data communications incidents
• Perform root cause analysis and define corrective and preventive actions
• Work with telecom operators and vendors to address incidents and improve services
• Track operational and performance indicators
• Participate in projects involving the expansion, redundancy, and evolution of the Telecom infrastructure
• Conduct technical acceptance testing and validation of new solutions
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and operating procedures
• Collaborate with Engineering, Networks, Security, and Operations teams
• Participate in changes and activities related to service maintenance

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Experience with TCP/IP networks
• Experience with routing and WAN connectivity
• Experience with telecommunications and mobile networks (3G, 4G/LTE, and 5G)
• Experience with M2M/IoT concepts
• Experience with public and private APNs
• Experience with VPNs and secure connectivity
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, and NAT
• Experience troubleshooting networks and connectivity
• Experience monitoring availability and performance
• Experience with incident management and root cause analysis
• Experience in critical, high-availability environments
• Experience with payment processing, merchant acquiring, or POS connectivity
• Experience in large-scale M2M/IoT environments
• Technical relationship management with telecommunications operators
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools
• Experience with Splunk, Jira, or similar tools
• Knowledge of ITIL
• Experience with automation and data analysis
