Trainer for CAD and Artificial Intelligence in Engineering

• Deliver practical training on the fundamentals and potential of AI in engineering
• Teach AI-supported methods for the design and engineering process
• Teach modern CAD workflows with AI assistance
• Teach Generative Design and automated design variant generation
• Teach AI-supported decision-making in product development
• Teach AI-based error detection and quality assurance
• Assess and validate AI-generated design results

• Completed degree or technical qualification in mechanical engineering, design engineering, product development, or a comparable field
• At least five years of professional experience in design, development, or technical engineering
• Very good knowledge of at least one CAD system: Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Fusion, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA
• Experience with parametric design and modern CAD workflows
• Sound understanding of product development and design processes in mechanical engineering
• Practical experience using AI productively throughout the development and design process
• Experience in requirements analysis, concept development, technical solution development, design and modeling, generative design variant creation, component and assembly optimization, technical evaluation, error detection, and quality improvement
• Experience creating technical documentation, specifications, and bills of materials
• Experience with generative AI systems such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or comparable solutions
• Ability to professionally evaluate AI-generated results with regard to functionality, feasibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
• Preferred: experience with AI features in modern CAD systems, Generative Design, topology optimization, prompt engineering, data protection, copyright, responsible AI use, and practical projects or workshops
• Advantageous: knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI, CAD automation, simulation, Digital Engineering, or Digital Twins
• Research expertise in artificial intelligence or a specialization in software development is not required
