Senior IT Systems Engineer – ServiceNow

• Operate highly available and business-critical ServiceNow applications and connected systems
• Act as a point of contact for customers
• Regularly take responsibility for the technical hotline to ensure smooth 24/7 operation of the instances
• Independently plan and implement changes in accordance with ITIL
• Resolve incidents and problems and derive measures for sustainable problem resolution
• Further develop automation
• Deploy new customer instances
• Further develop operational processes
• Provision and operate ServiceNow instances from the operating-system level (Linux), including the Java applications running on them and MariaDB or PostgreSQL databases
• Conduct Incident, Change, and Problem Management analyses
• Plan and implement projects

• Successfully completed a degree in Computer Science, vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration, or a comparable qualification
• Proficient in Linux
• In-depth knowledge of common network protocols: IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, and FTP
• Strong commitment to quality, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
• Independent and structured approach to work
• Very good German and good English language skills
• Interest in Debian, Terraform, Bash, Python, Java web services, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Icinga2, Ansible, AWX, and GitLab CI/CD
