Software Engineer, Go

• Develop and enhance Go APIs and workers that form the authentication gateway and route financial requests
• Work on authentication and authorization flows (OAuth2, JWT, certificates, IDP, SK)
• Maintain and enhance API Gateway plugins, ensuring end-to-end resilience and observability
• Ensure high availability, performance, and low latency in edge services handling high traffic volumes
• Participate in the Kubernetes deployment lifecycle, observability, and incident response
• Document changes made
• Build and maintain production systems with a focus on performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and resilience

• Be able to identify gaps in architecture and development processes and propose solutions
• Conduct code and documentation inspections
• Implement automated tests and follow CI/CD best practices
• Develop software in Go (5+ years of production experience, with a focus on highly critical services)
• Have strong knowledge of authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, and certificate management)
• Demonstrate a strong focus on security, including secrets management, encryption, and hardening of exposed APIs
• Have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and deploying containerized applications
• Have knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL), non-relational databases (MongoDB), and distributed caching (Redis)
• Collaborate with the team on architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical mentoring
• Experience with API Gateway architecture; Kong experience is a plus
• Experience with public clouds such as AWS (ECS, EKS, RDS, ElastiCache)
• Previous experience with GitOps tools and practices, including Argo CD
• Knowledge of and interest in financial markets, payment systems, or payment methods
