Freelance English into Irish Translator – Legal, Technical

• Translate and proofread documents for a variety of clients
• Create and finalize translated end products before delivery to clients
• Translate from English into Irish
• Work in Legal (Terms/Conditions and Contracts) and/or Information Technology (User Interface) specializations
• Collaborate with managers and Project Managers
• Meet translation needs of international clients

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Irish
• Specialization in Legal (Terms/Conditions and Contracts) and/or Information Technology (User Interface)
• Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar
• Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
• Applicants must sign a confidentiality agreement
• Applicants must complete free Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM tests
• One of the following: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent degree including significant translation training) from a recognized higher education institution; 2 years of translation experience and a college degree; 5 years of translation experience and no college degree; or a certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body
• Relevant Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM experience to be included in CV
• Proposed Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading per-word rate in USD to be included in CV

• Possibility to work remotely anywhere in the world
